This is a little illustration I did today mashing up two of my favorite people, Spock and Deadpool. Deadpool has to be a trekkie right? Well he sure will live long but probably wont prosper considering he’s a smart ass assassin whose skin constantly regenerates making him really ugly. Here’s the process of my little illustration.
Hello! I have been very busy with work so unfortunately have not had the time to post. I have been working on a lot of art though! I love comic books, and have always wanted to create my own comic. I finally got the courage to create my own. This is basically just a one page comic to get me started. It is a lot trickier than what I thought but so far I am fairly satisfied with what I am doing. I found this amazing book about drawing comic books digitally, The DC Comics Guide to Digitally Drawing Comics. I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in getting in to comic art. It is very informative and helpful.
Here is what I have been working on so far. The script has not been put in yet, but will be placed in there when I am finished inking.
Hey all! I tweaked my Thor illustration today. Not too much different from my previous post but his eyes and his hammer changed slightly. I worked a lot on my Hulk illustration today. I originally had him screaming much in the same way that Thor is and got some advice to change up his expression, so instead his grunted angrily. I am so happy with the way that these guys are turning out. I love the colors and cannot wait to print them out as posters. I will be working on Captain America next I think and will post some sketches soon!!
Working on coloring in Thor today and I think I am just about done with it. I am really happy with the way this one turned out so far because I think it has the comic book feel that I was going for and when I put the color in there I think it came together very nicely. I am excited to do the rest of this series, stay tuned for my next superhero, HULK!!!!
Hello Everyone! Today I spent a lot of time reworking my Thor drawing. I was looking through some of my comic books and realized I lost a bit of the comic book feel with my original Thor, which is not what I wanted to do. I went back to the drawing table and through some trial and errors and much better references, I developed a piece that I am much more happy with. This is still just the beginning, but the piece has been inked and will move to color next. Thanks!!
Hello! I have been working on my Mario Hatrack, which is just about finished. I really like the way this one turned out. I think it is really fun and cool looking, and the metal hat looks awesome. I will probably post this up on RedBubble soon but want to figure out a back ground and tweak it a bit more.
And still plugging along on my Thor illustration. Worked on his face a bit today and added a bit more detail.
